Smoke and CO alarms

Book Smoke and CO alarms

In England, landlords must have a smoke alarm on every floor people live on, and a carbon monoxide alarm in any room with a fixed fuel-burning appliance like a boiler or wood burner (gas cookers don't count). Alarms must be checked on the first day of each tenancy. In Scotland, alarms must be linked so they all go off together.
