Solar panels & battery
Book Solar panels & batterySolar panels convert sunlight into electricity, while batteries store excess energy for use when the sun isn't shining. This allows you to maximise your self-consumption of renewable energy, reducing reliance on the grid and saving money.
When do you need a Solar panels & battery?
Consider solar panels and battery storage if you want to lower your energy bills, improve your home's energy independence, and contribute to environmental sustainability. It's ideal for homeowners looking for long-term energy solutions.
What happens on the day
A qualified installation team will arrive to survey your roof and electrical system, then proceed with mounting the panels and installing the battery inverter. They will ensure all components are safely and correctly connected and commissioned.
How to prepare
- Clear access to your roof and loft space.
- Ensure clear access to your electrical consumer unit.
- Provide recent electricity bills for consumption data.
- Have any planning permissions ready, if required (usually not for roof-mounted, but check local rules).
- Inform your internet provider if access to a router is needed for smart monitoring.
How to improve your result
- Pair with smart home energy management systems for optimised usage.
- Consider an Electric Vehicle (EV) charger to power your car with solar.
- Ensure your roof is in good repair before installation for longevity.
- Regularly clean panels to maintain efficiency.
Why it is useful day to day
Enjoy significantly reduced electricity bills, greater energy independence, and a lower carbon footprint. You'll have power during grid outages if an appropriate system is installed, and can benefit from smart energy tariffs.
Why we ask these questions
We ask about your property's size and roof details (orientation, pitch, material) to determine the optimal number and placement of panels. Energy usage helps us size the battery correctly, and existing electrical setup ensures compatibility and safety.
